My background is a successful 15-year career in marketing and communications. More recently the prospect of having children in school gave me the push I needed to go it alone. At the same time this life changing event made me hungry for new challenges and a healthier work/life balance. ‘Laura Haslin Marketing and Social Media’ was born.

To help me along this solo path I undertook the Digital Mums Strategic Marketing Management course, which specialises in Social Media, with a strong focus on SME’s. Once graduated I decided to focus on small businesses and charities.

My passion is helping small organisations focus on their marketing and social media activities to deliver a clear message to their customers. I am a true believer in delivering a personalised service that combines my knowledge, skills and experience with the passion and enthusiasm of the business owner.

My experience covers a variety of sectors and businesses including, education, food, local community, housing, procurement, religion/churches, home security and charities.

My speciality is getting your brand noticed, raising your profile and helping clients understand the benefits of social media and marketing can bring.

Social Media and Marketing is key to any business, but I am aware it is often at the bottom of the list for some businesses, partly due to time constraints or costs and also not knowing the benefits it can bring.

Marketing as an academic discipline has taught me to devise strategies that can be tested, proven and replicated, plus an enduring enthusiasm to keep ahead of what’s new and effective.

I have a degree in marketing, qualifications in project management and I’m a Digital Mums graduate in Strategic Social Media Marketing course.

I am an independent Social Media and Marketing Consultant who works directly with you, sharing my knowledge and expertise to help raise your brand profile and get your business thriving – without incurring the overhead costs of any agency and giving you flexibility in your marketing approach.  I take pride in being straight forward, honest and down to earth.
